Your personalized country rankings are created through a multi-step evaluation process that blends global data, your priorities, and the lived realities of Black travelers.
The 6-Step BDE Process
You Complete the Questionnaire
Share your priorities, boundaries, and preferences. This isn’t a generic survey—every question captures what matters uniquely to you.
Dealbreakers Filter Countries
If a country falls inside a region you won’t consider or violates any dealbreaker, it’s excluded before scoring begins. Your boundaries are respected absolutely.
Data Gets Standardized
All metrics are converted to consistent 0–100 scales where higher always means better. This creates apples-to-apples comparisons across completely different data types.
Your Weights Are Applied
Each country is scored based on what matters to YOU. Your responses determine how each factor is valued—not anyone else’s priorities.
Bias Adjustments Made
The engine adjusts global metrics that historically under-represent Black experiences. This includes amplifying diaspora presence, anti-Black racism reports, and cultural connection.
